This material is then ground, compressed & formed into cork sheets bonded with resin. This process makes cork a natural & easily replenishable material. Cork is also biodegradable, able to break down into the environment at the end of its useful life cycle. Taking sustainability one step further, some cork floors are recycled from the waste of cork wine-stopper manufacturing.
